E-Fuels info tour

A Germany-wide e-fuels information tour will take place from Aug. 23 – Sept. 7, 2021. Organizers are the Lühmann Group with support from the Bundesverband Freier Tankstellen (bft) and the UNITI Bundesverband mittelständischer Mineralölunternehmen e.V.

What are e-fuels and how can they help us meet climate change goals? With these questions in mind, the tour stops at 21 gas stations throughout Germany as well as at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Here, visitors can experience the production of synthetic fuels: Bergakademie’s gasoline synthesis plant is also where the MtG for the studies in C3-Mobility is produced.

At each station, visitors can learn more about the production and benefits of e-fuels and find out about the potential of a propulsion mix to quickly and effectively reduce CO2 emissions in the mobility sector. The key benefits of e-fuels will also be demonstrated directly in driving practice: the demonstration vehicle will be refueled with electricity-based synthetic fuels at each stop.

Things get underway on Monday, August 23, 2021, at the CLASSIC service station in Bredstedt.
