Launch Conference of the “Energy Transition in the Transport Sector” Funding Initiative

06.-08.02.2019 in Berlin

The BMWi’s “energy transition in the transport sector” (EniVer) funding initiative was launched on 7 February 2019 at the kick-off conference in Berlin. The focus of EniVer is on the production, development and use of alternative, electricity-based fuels. The 15 new research alliances and the accompanying research presented their respective partners and research projects on power-to-fuel in Berlin. Examples of innovative power-based fuels include methanol, ethanol, kerosene and biogas with hydrogen components, which are to be researched and further developed by 2022. The final results should ultimately serve as a basis for social and political decisions on the further development of sustainable, efficient and climate-friendly mobility, on the one hand, and point out options for the production and market launch of sustainable fuels, on the other. We, too, were represented on site with C3-Mobility and were able to take the opportunity to get to know the other research alliances and to exchange ideas among ourselves. We are looking forward to a good cooperation.
