Berlin Energy Days 2020

Berlin, GER

The Berlin Energy Days will take place again from the fourth to the sixth of May 2020. This year, 56 different events in various formats about the energy transition will take place under the umbrella of the major congress – individual congresses, workshops, conferences, panel discussions and award ceremonies. Participants can discuss the energy transition in the energy, construction, housing and mobility sectors with representatives from politics, business and industry.

Various events about e-fuels will take place at the congress. On May 4th there will be a keynote speech followed by a panel discussion on “Refueling climate protection with Future Fuels” with representatives of the Institute for Heat and Oil Technology. Politicians will be present, among others, Thorsten Herdan, Head of the Department for Energy Policy – Heat and Efficiency in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and members of the Bundestag from various parliamentary groups. The key question here will be what contribution alternative fuels can make in the various sectors to achieving the climate targets and which political course must be set for the market ramp-up.

There will be various events especially on the political framework. Representatives of the Federal Ministries for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU); for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and of the Interior, Building and Community (BMI) and other political institutions will provide inputs on climate neutrality, climate goals and topics such as limits and possibilities of the funding backdrop.

The conference program is complemented by the “Energy Impulses” exhibition, where innovative products and services are presented.
