International Engine Congress 2021

Hybrid Event/ Baden-Baden, GER

The eighth International Engine Congress will take place on February 23 and 24, 2021. The focus of the congress is on the technical potential of the combustion engine for emission-neutral mobility of the future. An important key here is the topic of renewable fuels, because decarbonizing it would put the entire engine – fuel system in the right direction for a climate-neutral drive. In addition to the role that e-fuels will play in the climate-neutral mobility of the future, the focus is also on the development of political framework conditions for renewable fuels and on holistic balances.

The international engine congress of the VDI Wissensforum and ATZlive is based on three equal thematic pillars: Consideration of the overall system of passenger car and commercial vehicle engines and fuels. The aim is to use the synergies with regard to fuels, their properties and the resulting new approaches in drive development in a targeted manner. With the close interlinking between car and commercial vehicle engine developers as well as fuel experts, the exchange of experience is to be promoted nationally and internationally within the multi-level congress.

The upcoming International Engine Congress will take place as a hybrid event for the first time. The streaming package includes all keynote, impulse and plenary presentations, the panel discussion and all specialist lectures.
